Editorial policy

DroidBazaar aims to be a reliable source of information for the whole robotics sector. These are the rules we follow.

Independence

  • Coverage is never paid. Whether a company is interviewed, reported on or listed does not depend on advertising, listings or any other business with us.
  • Companies and people featured get no say over what we publish, beyond checking their own quotes for factual accuracy.
  • If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled clearly as sponsored on the page and in every list.

News summaries

  • Our news items are short summaries written by our editors in their own words. We never copy the publisher's text or images.
  • Every summary names its source and links to the original story, which belongs to its publisher.

Interviews and features

  • Interviews and features are our own content and carry the author's name.
  • We send interview questions in advance and publish the answers as given, edited only for length and clarity. We say who the interviewee is and which company they work for.
  • Claims made by an interviewee are theirs. Figures that we state ourselves follow the data rules below.

Data and specifications

  • Every specification in the catalog carries the URL of its source and the date we checked it. If there is no reliable source, the field stays empty: we never estimate or invent figures.
  • Values are stored in metric units. We show where a value comes from: manufacturer, datasheet, manual, dealer, press or community.
  • Values proposed by a verified manufacturer are reviewed by an editor before they are published and are marked as verified by the manufacturer.
  • Automated tools may suggest related robots and brands or extract figures from official pages. Such values are marked as extracted automatically until an editor or the manufacturer verifies them.

Marketplace and community

  • Listings, needs and community posts are written by their users, not by us. They are moderated for spam, fraud and abuse, but we do not vouch for the items or the claims in them.
  • We do not host manuals or other copyrighted files; we link to the official source.

Corrections

  • When we get something wrong, we correct it. Send the correction with a link to an official source; manufacturers can also propose changes to their robots directly from their company page.
